Beyond 'Vibe Coding'
Yes, you can call it vibe coding. But that term misses the point. The real work here is learning the systems. Understanding what’s going on. Figuring out how to improve. Becoming a new kind of programmer. Defining a new technical class.
That’s what makes this so interesting. People working this way can’t be called non-technical, but they also aren’t traditional programmers. And that’s fine. There’s a new technical class emerging, and it doesn’t have a name yet. But “vibe coding” gives it a negative connotation, much like “no-code” gave a negative connotation to that earlier group of builders.
